Apparently Kim Kardashian didn't get the fact that her little singing stint at the Emmys earlier this year with Jimmy Fallon was part of a joke. In fact, she's taken it so seriously that she's recording an album.
According to TMZ:
We’re told Kim’s recently been in the studio with top notch writer/producer/performer The-Dream, whose hits include Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)."
Just what we need -- another actress, socialite ... what IS she again? trying to add singer to her resume.
Check out her performance from the Emmys after the jump.
Does this sound like the voice of someone from whom you want to hear an entire album?
Of course, what she lacks in vocal talent, she could certainly make up for with the right songs. If we've learned nothing else from American Idol, we know that song choice is key.
So if sing she must, then here's a list of other tunes we'd like to hear Kim record. With just a few lyric tweaks, she could have a kick-ass album:
"Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-Lot (TMZ calls this one inevitable!)
"Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen
"Shake Your Booty" by KC and the Sunshine Band
"Wiggle It" by Ricki-Lee Coulter
"Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" by Trace Adkins (might as well throw a little country in the mix)
"Rump Shaker" by Wreckx-N-Effect
"Big Ole Butt" by LL Cool J
"Da Butt" by E.U. ( This should be the cover song, for sure)
Would you buy an album by Kim Kardashian? What would you like to hear her sing?
