Oh, Zach Galifianakis. What were you thinking? Haven't you read the news in the last six months? Doesn't the name Oksana Grigorieva mean anything to you? Pissing off Mel Gibson is like waking the sleeping giant: It never, ever ends well.
The Hangover star may have played a role in the cancellation of a cameo by Gibson in the upcoming sequel, The Hangover 2 -- or, at least he insinuated as much in a recent podcast interview.
Apparently, Galifianakis has no qualms about going head-to-head with one of the angriest, most hated men in America. It begs the question of which actor is crazier: Zach or Mel?
While promoting his new movie Due Date, Galifianakis told an interviewer that he's declined several roles on moral grounds, explaining:
... You don't have a lot of control -- you just show up and vomit your lines out. I mean, I'm not the boss. I'm in a deep protest right now with a movie I'm working on, up in arms about something. But I can't get the guys to ... I'm not making any leeway.
When the interviewer tries to reveal the title of the movie he's working on -- Hangover 2 -- Galifianakis cuts him off with this statement:
It has something to do with a movie I'm working on, yeah ... I'll tell you about it later. It's very frustrating.
But the damage is done, and I think we all know how this story is going to end: With scary hate-filled profane phone messages from Mel to Zach. Abusive rants. Racist slurs. Restraining orders. And battles in court (okay, maybe not the last one).
Oh, and Zach probably won't ever be allowed on The View. (Hopefully, he'll find a way to get over it.)
Hey, Zach: Better go get that tiger. You're going to need all the protection you can get.
Who do you think is crazier: Galifianakis or Gibson?
