In case you were missing yesteryear when Donny and Marie Osmond dominated television (with all of the quality shows like Jersey Shore on, I can't imagine why), have no fear -- the brother-sister duo is joining forces once again (outside of Vegas), this time on Broadway.
They'll be bringing the cheese on stage in Donny & Marie: A Broadway Christmas (clever title) that will begin December 9 at the Marriot Marquis Theatre in New York.
Donny played Gaston in Beauty & the Beast during its Broadway run, as well as starred in the long-running musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, while Marie made her Broadway debut in 1997's The King and I and toured as Maria in The Sound of Music.
Their most recent projects have either been a huge hit or miss -- their Vegas variety show just signed an extended contract, while their solo hosting gigs and made-for-TV movies flopped. Perhaps they're just better together?
The little bit country, little bit of rock-n-roll team will star in 12 performances, running until December 19, and the play is said to be similar to the Osmond Family Christmas television specials.
Glad to see these two are still chopping at the performing block or do you think they should give it a rest?
