Tony Curtis, the Bronx-born Hollywood icon, sadly passed away in his Las Vegas home late last night at the age of 85 due to cardiac arrest.
The hunky heartthrob was quite the ladies' man in his heyday, having been married to six different women over his lifetime to prove it. Needless to say, he's created quite the family legacy to leave behind.
Janet Leigh: Janet was Tony's first wife, and they were known as Hollywood's Golden Couple from 1951-1962; the two actors seemed smitten with each other at first. They had two daughters, both whom ended up being actresses themselves: Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Obviously, we all know who Jamie Lee Curtis is, but her older sister had roles in smaller films such as The Devil's Daughter (1991) and Magic Sticks (1987). Unfortunately, the marriage fizzled out and Tony left Janet for actress Christine Kaufmann, who would later become his second wife.
Christine Kaufmann: The German-born actress and co-star of Tony's film Taras Bulba was only 17 years old when they began their affair. They married in 1963 and had two daughters, Alexandra and Allegra, before divorcing in 1968.
Leslie Allen: In 1968 (wow, dude didn't waste any time does he?) Curtis married for the third time, this one being to 23-year-old model Leslie Allen, who later gave him his first sons, Benjamin and Nicholas. Tragically, Nicholas died of a heroin overdose in 1994 at the age of 23.
Andrea Savio: After divorcing Allen in 1982, he married B-list actress Andrea Savio the following year. They lasted eight years before divorcing in 1994.
Lisa Deutsch: His marriage with lawyer Lisa Deutsch was short and sweet, lasting only a year.
Jill VandenBerg: In 1998, he married the woman that would be with him for the rest of his life. Jill was a horse trainer when they met in a restaurant in 1993, and they later operated Shiloh Horse Rescue, a nonprofit refuge for abused and neglected horses, together in Sandy Valley, Nevada. She is 42 years his junior, but the age gap never seemed to be an issue. He once said, "The age gap doesn't bother us. We laugh a lot. My body is functioning and everything is good. She's the sexiest woman I've ever known. We don't think about time. I don't use Viagra either. There are 50 ways to please your lover."
Oh yes, he was quite the ladies' man. RIP Tony Curtis.
