'Dancing With the Stars' & Sarah Palin Go Rogue

palinIt's been confirmed ... Sarah Palin, former vice presidential candidate, right wing rabble-rouser, and self-professed "mama grizzly," will be present when daughter Bristol Palin kicks off this season's Dancing With the Stars.

The conservative mouthpiece will no doubt boost the ratings just by showing up and cheering her eldest girl on. But to get me to watch ... well, to be honest, that's just not enough. I need more. If Palin merely claps and waves to the camera like any other proud mother, I'll knock over everyone in the room grabbing for the remote.

This television viewer needs more than that. I need Palin and the contestants to go rogue.

So if any of this stuff happens, call me a DWTS fan.

Palin announces her run for the presidency in 2012. Why not? Wyclef Jean declared his bid to govern Haiti on Larry King. John McCain tossed his hat into the ring on Letterman in 2008. So what's wrong with Palin stating her intentions directly after Audrina Partridge hoofs it to "California Gurls"?  It just seems so ... fitting.

Margaret Cho should take her on. Cho is also one of the contestants. I may be going out on a limb here, but there's a good chance that the pro-gay rights activist isn't a fan of the moose-shooting momma. So wouldn't it be must-see TV if Cho gave Mrs. Palin a dressing down? In front of millions of people? Palin wouldn't be able to complain that the media is out to get her -- Cho is a comedian. That would make me laugh. A lot.

David Hasselhoff should hit on her. Hasselhoff is all set to Cha Cha Cha to "Sex Bomb." (Did I just really write that sentence?) To me, The Hoff seems a perfect match for Palin. He's rich and famous and not good at anything either. Wouldn't it be great if the Hoff slipped his number to the former governor of Alaska in between a cha and a cha? And not only was there chemistry, but there were fireworks? Goodbye First Dude, hello Knight Rider. Americans can clearly put up with the absurd, but David Hasselhoff as First Hubby? Even tea partiers have their limits. So any thoughts of a presidential run would no doubt fly out the window.

Yeah. I like that. I like that a lot.

Are you planning on watching Palin on the premiere?
