For months we've been hearing about the "incredible chemistry" between Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's new romantic thriller, The Tourist.

Now that the first official movie trailer is out, we can finally see it for ourselves!

There are plenty of reasons to see this movie: Breathtaking shots of Italy and France; fast-paced thrills and spy adventure; Paul Bettany.

But the chemistry between the two leads doesn't really do it for me. Angie's sexy as always. But Depp looks too confused, too scared, too "deer caught in the headlights" for me to believe his character would have a chance with Jolie's. (And I'm a huge Depp fan!)

Obviously, the hype about sparks between these two stars has been overblown -- particularly this report from The Money Times, which alleges that Depp's longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis (and the mother of his two kids)

"... was worried about her man working with the notorious man-stealing actress Angelina Jolie, and had asked her Hollywood mega star beau to drop out of [the movie].

How lazy to suggest that Angie's out to steal every unavailable man she stars with on film. And, where's the evidence? I want proof of this so-called amazing, unbelievable sexual attraction! But it's not here in this trailer for The Tourist, which is practically a G-rated version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
