A New Jersey judge gave Snooki the ultimate burn today during her court hearing for being annoying (seriously, it's ironically a crime in NJ) by comparing her to our favorite alcoholic/druggie/trainwreck Lindsay Lohan.
Judge Damian G. Murray called the reality star a "Lindsay Lohan wannabe" and then smacked her with a big fat judgment:
"Going through life rude, profane, obnoxious and self-indulgent -- that's not the way you want to live your life. Hopefully this incident will impress upon you that there are consequences to your actions."
Rude, profane, obnoxious ... all acceptable. But a LiLo wannabe? Dang judge, that's a little harsh. And, if I may say so, a little unprofessional.
This is the court system we're talking about -- where folks come into work wearing suits and judges are well-respected figures. Spouting off pop culture names, no matter how much the resemblance may be, isn't exactly something I'd expect to hear in a courtroom.
Sure he was probably voicing what everyone in America thinks every time they watch an episode of Jersey Shore but if he wants to do that, he should be in another profession (like mine!).
The charges ended up being dropped, Snooks was verbally swatted on the hand, and she frolicked off as a new woman.
Do you think it was unprofessional of the judge to compare her to Lindsay Lohan?
