Ever since Kanye West joined Twitter just a little over a month ago, he has been Tweet happy to say the least. With close to 600 tweets already he's apparently making up for lost time and now is STILL trying to make it up to Taylor Swift for ruining her VMA moment almost a year ago.
Earlier today he went off in an unparalleled Twitter rant/confession, which contained more than 70 tweets posted over a couple of hours about the incident. A few of the choice ones:
With new found humility ... who am I to run on stage? I would never ever again in a million years do that. Sorry to let you down.
It is distasteful to cut people off as a general rule. What's the point of dressing tastefully if I'm going to act the complete opposite?
When I woke up from the crazy nightmare I looked in the mirror and said GROW UP KANYE ... I take the responsibility for my actions
I'm glad he's sorry, but really let it go already. And please, I love Kanye's music, but his tweets are getting a little crazy.
He says he's even written a song for Swift:
"I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that's so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won't take it then I'll perform it for her."
We're both artists, and the media and managers are trying to get between us."
I've got to question if it's really Kanye sitting there tweeting all this. My jaded self says his "people" have it all planned out as we lead into this year's' VMAs, which are coming up September 12.
Coincidence that his conscience has just been bothered again? I think not.
What do you think of Kanye's Twitter apology to Taylor Swift? Genuine emotion or publicity tweets?

I think that it's either NOT actually him tweeting, or he's just trying to get back into the VMA's. I doubt he really is sorry, and would do it again in a heartbeat. What a loser. UGH. If I have to hear anything else about this, I think I'm going to scream.
Wow. If this IS him, he's seriously guilt tripping. I could imagine. Just put yourself in his shoes: He did something utterly stupid, and now, his whole career has been damaged. Once considered a musical genius by the people that listened to him, now EVERYONE knows who he is. And it's not because of his music. It's because of the stunt he pulled. Everything that he worked hard for and any amount of credibility he had has now gone down the crapper.
Jay Leno made him speechless during his interview by asking him what his dead mother would have thought about his actions.
The PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES called him a jackass. Ironically, Kanye made a famous quote after Katrina, saying that "President Bush hates black people." Hmm. Now, the first black president hates Kanye West. I'm sure that stung a bit.
Countless replays of the gaffe, and endless ridicule from everyone, including fans.
I'm not defending him by any means. You reap what you sew. His ego got him into trouble, and he was quickly brought back down to reality. He will never live it down. He was already a pretty eccentric guy, but I can only imagine that this has given him some serious mental instability, including major depression. I think that this Twittering (if it is Kanye) is merely a reflection on that.
