The Jersey Shore gang's hijinks are beginning to hit them where it hurts most -- the pocketbook.
A woman who goes by the initials J.P. claims that she was assaulted by four bodyguards employed by the rowdy housemates and MTV. Seems that J.P. entered into a verbal altercation with Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi. The paid protectors wrestled J.P. away and tossed her on the sidewalk, resulting in a gashed chin and permanent scarring.
J.P. is mad as hell and has filed suit against MTV, its parent company Viacom, and all of the cast-mates of the hit reality show.
Coincidentally, the incident occurred the same night that the musclebound Ronnie Magro-Ortiz was slapped with an assault charge after he knocked a man unconscious in Seaside Heights.
So let's see ... we know of all the arrests. Snooki was picked up for disorderly conduct and being annoying. Ronnie has been hauled in twice: One for unpaid parking tickets and another for the above-mentioned beat-down on the shore.
And so come the lawsuits. Magro-Ortiz is being sued by the New Jersey man whom he pummeled into oblivion.
Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Ronnie's on-again-off-again girlfriend, also has a suit against her for assaulting a woman in a Miami nightclub.
Snooki and Jenni "JWOWW" Farley were also slapped with a complaint for beating up a girl in a Miami nightspot.
And now the whole gang is being sued en masse.
With The Situation set to pull in a cool $5 million this year, I bet the others are earning the big bucks as well. If they want to ride this tidal wave of luck and actually keep the cash, they'd do well to remember to keep their hands to themselves and instruct their employees to do the same.
Do you think the Jersey Shore gang will calm down once they have to start laying out cash?
