David Hasselhoff Roast: Whitney Cummings Gets Down & Dirty

whitney cummingsStand-up comedian Whitney Cummings shocked the audience at last night's David Hasselhoff Roast on Comedy Central with some truly foul-mouthed zingers. She took several below-the-belt shots at Pam Anderson, Hulk Hogan, Lisa Lampanelli, and George Hamilton before laying into Hasselhoff himself. (Check out the clip below but be forewarned, it's definitely NSFW.)

Her most offensive comment?

It was probably this one:

"Pam Anderson, you've slept with Bret Michaels, Tommy Lee, and Kid Rock. Why don't you save yourself some time and drink a vat of Magic Johnson's blood?"

There's nothing like making fun of people with AIDS to get the audience going. Or not. But she's not the only one who went way too far with the jokes. Nothing, and I mean nothing, was off-limits for comedian Lisa Lampanelli, who had a host of her own (often racist) cheap shots. Without a doubt, the one that offended the audience the most was this gem:

"I love you Pam. But what's the story with your tits? They're big, they're small, they're big. You've had more surgeries than Roger Ebert."

Awful, right? But she also took aim at the Holocaust ...

"David H. is a legend. A giant in television and music. David your singing is huge in Germany. If they had played your music at Auschwitz, the Jews would have sprinted for those ovens."

Hasselhoff's drinking ...

"David were you ever a drunk ... his liver was so black and bloated it could have starred in Precious ... his liver is so black its f*cking two of the Kardashian sisters."

And she even mentioned Haiti and the oil spill. Really?

Even Seth MacFarlane, creator of Fox's hit Family Guy, went a little over-the-top by making fun of Anderson Cooper's sexuality:

"Recently, however, [David Hasselhoff] hasn't had time to do another huge singing event ... just like Matt Damon and Ben Affleck haven't had time to write another screenplay, or like Anderson Cooper hasn't had time to find that special lady."

Tasteless insults are the whole point of a comedy roast, sure. But the Hasselhoff special seemed to go a little too far.

Do you think the roast went too far?
