Wait a minute -- Ellen performed?! Sorry, but that was a show-stealer!
Ok -- now on to the winner... Lauren! Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I have been predicting this since -- I don't know -- since forever!
Lauren earned her win, and I must say I don't think I have ever been so happy to see a winner of this show crowned.
Last night's episode of SYTYCD summed up the entire season via flashbacks of some of the best highlights and low-lights of the season.
My personal favorite was the initial magnifying glass placed on the judges. Nigel's hair was mocked via a montage of the last seven seasons and it was quite entertaining. He took it like a champ, I must say.
Next up was Mia Michaels. Her focus of ridicule: her fantastical made-up adjectives. Some of my personal favorites are gorgeoisie (see bourgeoisie for reference), fabulosity, murderation (which I have personally mentioned before), and scruchie, which even Mia herself questioned the meaning of, as soon as she said it. Love Mia.
Adam Shankman -- "The man of a thousand faces" was given a very appropriate montage to Roxette's, "The Look." Needless to say, after watching a plethora of "Shankman faces," it was clear that he put Derek Zoolander himself to shame. Love you Adam!
So back to Lauren -- she's the shit. I've said it before and I'll say it again! She danced her ass off, earned her spot in the top 11, and then nailed it, winning her way to the top.
No doubt Kent and Robert have very bright futures ahead of them. Winning isn't everything. Russell proved that. He won last season and he wasn't considered an all-star? What's that about? Not like I was surprised or anything. I never agreed with this win. But that's just me.
All I can say is GO LAUREN! You earned it baby!
Is there much more to say than that? You be the judge!
Weigh in America. Are you happy with the results?
