Michaele Salahi has had a lousy week. And it should have been the best week ever. Really. After all, last Thursday was the debut of her star turn in The Real Housewives of DC. At last she would be able to put that whole nasty White House business behind her and garner the positive attention that she deserves (um, needs).
But the week started out on a sour note. First there was that tussle with Whoopi Goldberg. I mean, The View host actually touched her shoulder! Then the show premieres and with it comes all that speculation by the other housewives that she has an eating disorder. Ugh. So what else could go wrong?
The debt police paid an untimely visit -- that's what. Turns out Michaele and hubby Tareq were hosting a private premiere party for the show when they were served papers alleging that they owed a chunk of change in unpaid fees to a PR firm who had promoted a polo match for them in 2008.
According to the Washington Post, Brotman-Winter-Fried Communications claims that the DC power couple stiffed them for $15,000 and they'd like their money, thank you very much. The writ is apparently an affidavit for debtors interrogatory, which means that the Salahis will have to go to court and discuss how they will pay off the bill.
No comment yet from the fame-seeking duo. Personally I think the events of this week are just a sneak peek of the Salahi craziness to come.
What do you think? Is this just the tip of the iceberg?
