Prepare to get blasted with some American Idol news:
Whoa! Is your head spinning yet?
I know, it's a lot to take in. Let's break it down one at a time.
Elle DeGeneres twittered her announcement, saying, "Dim the lights...I've voted myself off American Idol." According to RadarOnline, she told producers that though she didn't want to leave them in a bind, being an Idol judge just didn't "feel right." Once they got confirmation that J-Lo could take her place, Ellen was off the hook.
And since the judging panel was getting all sorts of makeovers, they decided to go back to three judges -- BAM, Kara's out. Her only chance of staying on is if the J-Lo deal doesn't pan out (but let's face it, Jennifer needs this gig, she's definitely doing it).
And last but not least, Steven Tyler has supposedly been added as the third judge, taking Simon Cowell's place. Where the heck did he come from? Yesterday, they were saying Jessica Simpson was the front-runner. Oh Idol, how you tease us.
What do you think of this major shake-up in the American Idol judging panel?
