DexterOh. My. God. The season 5 trailer for Dexter was released this past weekend at Comic Con, and it is intense! Holy crap. You just have to view it for yourself -- video after the jump.

**Spoiler warning if you haven't seen last season.**

Last season ended with Dexter coming home to find his beloved wife, Rita, dead in a bathtub full of blood. I'm holding back tears just thinking of that season finale ... awful (but awful in a good kind of way because it was an amazing finale).

Turns out it wasn't a dream sequence like I had hoped, and Rita is actually dead and Dexter is now faced with having to care for a family, dealing with his guilt that he, indeed, caused her death because of his life choices, and being a suspect in Rita's murder.

Guilt is a big thing with Dexter because he's never felt it before -- can't exactly be a serial killer if you've got a guilty conscience, now can ya? -- and I'm curious to see how that plays out in his murderous ways.

Ugh, is it September 26 yet?
