Gross! Pooping Pigeons Cancel Kings of Leon Concert

pigeonI've heard of concerts cancelled for all sorts of reasons, but pooping pigeons is a new one. Apparently when the Kings of Leon went on stage in St. Louis, Mo., last night, the pigeons took their seats in the rafters above the amphitheatre and  ... did their business.

"Jared (Followill) was hit several times during the first two songs," Andy Mendelsohn of Vector Management told CNN. "It's not only disgusting -- it's a toxic health hazard. They really tried to hang in there."

Followill, the band's bass guitarist and pianist, who is described as a "germophobe", was actually hit in the FACE. during the song "Closer".

"I was hit by pigeons on each of the first three songs," he said. "We had 20 songs on the set list. By the end of the show, I would have been covered from head to toe."

Revulsion doesn't even begin to describe my reaction.

Luckily the band's publicist reported that no fans were hit, and that the band hopes to make up the concert to the folks of Missouri as soon as they can.

I'm thinking there's perhaps some potential for a good song here for the band though ... "Pigeons on Fire" perhaps?

Have you had a bird poop on you? If so, what was your reaction?
