Alexis NeiersHollywood's young jailbirds are getting off a lot easier than expected. Lindsay Lohan just got two more days shaved off her jail sentence; and Alexis Neiers, star of Pretty Wild, was released Friday after serving only 30 of the 180 days she was sentenced to in connection with a burglary at Orlando Bloom's house.
Both were serving time at the Lynwood Detention Center.
Lohan originally received a 90-day sentence for violating parole related to drunk driving charges, but it was later reduced to 14 days. According to RadarOnline, now she may even be released this weekend due to overcrowding.
“Lindsay’s team is doing everything they can to get her out of jail this weekend,” a source inside Lohan’s camp told RadarOnline.com.
It's no wonder they're fighting hard, especially if reports of her "hysterical meltdown" (after fellow prisoners chanted "fire crotch" at her) and subsequent lockdown are accurate.
As for Neiers, she says she has learned her lesson, even if it was cut short.
"I've had time to reflect on my life and the choices that led me to this experience, left alone in my cell 23 hours a day and having everything stripped away but the bare essentials. I did a lot of soul searching. I feel very humbled and see my life in a way that I have come to be very grateful for and I am also grateful to everyone who has helped and supported me through this."
I am committed to talking to teens and encouraging them to become goal oriented and participate in positive activities that give back to their world."
Let's hope the lessons for both girls don't fade as quickly as the days of their sentences have disappeared.
How do you feel about the sentences of Lindsay Lohan and Alexis Neiers being so dramatically reduced?
