Now that Jesse James has won physical custody of his 6-year-old daughter, Sunny, and can move her to Texas, everyone is on the edge of their seat waiting to see if he and Sandra Bullock will reconcile.
Since their divorce, the exes have stayed in touch for the sake of the kids -- Chandler, 15, and Jesse Jr., 12 (his from previous relationships), and baby Louis (her adopted son). James' lawyer recently confirmed that James is moving to Austin, Texas, this month, where Bullock has a home. And today Sunny's mom, Janine Lindemulder, corroborated what everyone has always suspected -- that Bullock still plays a major role in James' kids' lives.
Lindemulder, who was recently released from a halfway house, will share legal custody with James -- seeing Sunny once a month in California, half of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, two-thirds of summer vacation, and all of spring break. She told the press:
"[Sunny] will be fine. It hurts. Sandy is good. Jesse is good. Sunny loves baby Louis. She's excited to move to Texas. [Bullock] will be good for her."
The judge in the custody case defended his position explaining that many factors -- including Sunny's bond with her siblings that live with their father; the fact that she is doing well in her father's care; and that he was concerned that Lindemulder was in a "fragile position to make poor decisions" -- all contributed to his decision.
James has made no secret of his wish to get back together with Bullock; and, when asked about the future of their relationship, his reply is: "What happens, happens." Will having all of her family in the same place sway Bullock to eventually take him back?
What do you think?
