Last night's Season 3, Episode 5 of True Blood stood strong and certainly lived up to its title, "Trouble."
Moving on ... there is a lot of "new blood" this season, be it the vampire variety or the human (we think?) variety. Two characters are really standing out right now -- Jason Stackhouse's new love interest Crystal, played by Lindsay Pulsipher. And of course, everyone's new favorite psychopathic -- perhaps slightly bipolar -- vamp Franklin Mott, played by James Frain.
Hands down, the funniest moment of the night was Frain's character showing off his rapid text-messaging skills to Tara. I have to say, it was a truly funny bit. It showed a silly side of Franklin and was so unexpected that I actually rewound it and watched it again.
This episode was overflowing with revelations, action, character development, and a whole sh*t-load more of stuff.
Douche Bag of the Night: Sam Merlotte's father, Joe Lee. He is a disgusting drunk mess -- but there's more to his relationship with his son Tommy. Needless to say I'm incredibly interested where this storyline goes. It's definitely going to be dark and twisted as it seems the entire family just seems to roll that way.
What did you guys think of the episode? So far, it's my favorite of the season. I think it's just beginning. What say you?
