'Big Brother 12' Recap: The Saboteur Is ... Also the First Evicted

Big Brother 12 saboteur Annie
Annie's the Big Brother 12 saboteur
So who's the saboteur? Big Brother 12 had a great idea with this saboteur ... too bad it ended up being such a disaster.

It turns out that I was wrong about Brendon because Annie was the saboteur.

But she made so many enemies that she was also the first person evicted. You've got to hand it to her though, she didn't give up without a fight.

Annie's downfall was reacting so negatively to her nomination -- she basically threw a temper tantrum. She realized she needed a strategy and sent a message as the saboteur saying that he/she (remember, it's still a mystery to the house) escaped the block. Everyone thought it was Brendon, and Annie added fuel to the fire by revealing that he lied about his occupation. It was actually a great move, but the damage was already done and she was voted off unanimously.

I have to admit, as much as I loved watching that unfold, the best part of the episode was when Rachel and Brendon fight because Brendon's upset about Annie. Rachel's reaction is utterly hilarious:

Why are you getting upset about some girl that you met 8 days ago, that is trying to come in between you and something that’s real?

Rachel seems to forget that Brendon also met her only 8 days ago. Even her goodbye message to Annie also accuses her of trying to come in between the happy couple.

Annie's right about one thing, Brendon's strength in the game is enough to carry Rachel into the finals, just like Jesse did with Jordan last season. The houseguests definitely have plenty to worry about, especially now that Rachel won HOH. I guess I have something to look forward to next week: another HOH making decisions based on somebody else's strategy.

I guess Annie ended up having the last laugh -- as Rachel runs to hug Brendon after becoming HOH, you can tell everyone's wishing they had kept Annie around.

Were you surprised to find out Annie was the saboteur?
