Fans of The Hills are still having trouble closing their mouths after the jaw-dropping finale in which MTV teased viewers about what was fake and what was reality in the show we've obsessed over for the past six seasons.
If you didn't see it, you can watch the ending here.
On the live after-show, Brody Jenner addressed the ending.
"The thing is, as you saw on the end -- what's real and what's fake, you don't know," he said. "Our relationship, the entire time could have been fake. That's one of the questions: what was real and what was fake, and we left it [open]."
The entire cast was there for the after-show including Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port with the exception of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. Pratt, who was supposedly banned from attending, couldn't pass up a chance for some publicity and was hanging around outside spouting off nonsense in a crazy getup.
Jenner tweeted his thoughts that Pratt should have been present.
"Tonight was a blast but I wish @Spencerpratt was here to celebrate with all of us... He was a HUGE part of this and he deserves to be here."
In a touching moment, Holly Montag broke down when asked about her sister, Heidi. She said she didn't know what was going on with Spencer and Heidi, but that she hoped to have Heidi in her life again. "She's the best person," Holly said of Heidi.
The cast seemed as shocked as fans by the ending.
"FYI-didnt know about that studio shot ending! Surprise to me too! Xoxo," Lo Bosworth tweeted.
On the after-show, Kristin Cavallari said it left her and Brody "speechless" but that they "couldn't have been happier with the ending."
As for fans, the majority are still scratching their heads over the ending. But for others, reactions are fierce and mixed. Some were outraged at MTV for making fans buy into a false reality.
"I feel like it was a slap in the face to fans," said "Chelsea," who commented on The Stir recap of the finale.
Others found it brilliant.
From CafeMom member Carey2006: "I thought the ending was GREAT!!! The mellow version of Unwritten in the background and all the flashback clips then the setting rolling out.....GENIUS!"
Personally, I vote brilliant.
What about you? Did you like the ending or hate it?
