I think Brad Pitt started a popular new trend -- the being an unmarried celebrity dad trend.
This week soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo wrote on his Facebook page: "It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship."
It's not a hoax either, his agent has since confirmed the statement. In that case -- congratulations to Cristiano!
I wonder if these other unwed celebrity dads have officially welcomed him to the club?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie now have six children. If you ask me, Angelina is smart. Having kids with Brad will clearly keep him around longer than a marriage certificate.
Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have been together since the birth of their daughter Lily-Rose, 11, and their son Jack, 8. They live in France and I think they own an entire island in the Bahamas, so something tells me they don't have a lot to argue about.
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves welcomed their second child this year. He seems like a non-traditional guy all the way around, so I don't expect to hear wedding bells, but they seem very happy together.
Mario Lopez and his girlfriend Courtney Mazza are expecting their first child. There have been rumors that this pregnancy was somewhat calculated in order to produce a reality show, but let's hope not because that's just ... wrong.
Jude Law used to be married and he may be getting married again this summer to girlfriend Sienna Miller, but in between he managed to have his fourth child with then-flame Samantha Burke. He's a busy guy.
What do you think about unwed celebrity dads? Do you think it matters if you are married when raising kids?
