Sunscreen Guide: App of the Week

We've talked before about dangerous chemicals in sunscreens, and how to avoid using those sunscreens on the no list. But with this iPhone app, you can access a data base of the top rated sunscreens and search by name for the one you just picked up off the shelf.

Also included are summer safety tips on how to recognize the right ingredients in your sunscreen. Like so:

It'd be extremely ironic if some of these toxic chemicals do more harm than what not wearing sun screen at all would do. Perhaps the app could mention why to avoid these chemicals? Vitamin A sounds like a more appealing ingredient than zinc. Nevertheless, this would be a useful app when at the store getting ready to go on a trip.
