I am Team Jacob
According to EW, the Twilight Eclipse movie broke the box office record for midnight releases last night, grossing more than $30 million.
Just for the midnight showing! In one night! In one vampire- and werewolf-obsessed country! Ours ...
Yep, it seems the masses of mom/daughter duos and "girls' night out" Twilight fanatics were out blood lusting into the wee hours last night -- chasing hot vampires and gorgeous werewolves into the theaters across the nation.
This new box office record breaks the previous record, also held up by Twilight fans. The Twilight Saga: New Moon earned $26.3 million at its midnight showing last November.
I can't tell you how many of my mom friends -- with and without tween and teen daughters -- were on Facebook last night, as they stood in line waiting with thirst for the midnight show to begin so they could finally get the latest on-screen look at Edward (Rob Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner).
Oh and Bella (Kristen Stewart), whatever ... who cares ...
I'll be launching off into the dark in my Team Edward cut-off jean shorts tomorrow night. Wish me luck.
Were you out there at the midnight showing last night? Are you going to see Eclipse this week?

Wow, it really makes me wish I was into all of this, but sadly, I just don't have it in me.
I just want to ask someone a question, I really don' t understand what all the fuss is about, and it seems that the young lady in the saga (ms.Bella) she displays a attitude that she really just does not care, or displays features that there are some emotional problems in real life that are there.Does anyone else see this or is it just me. I mean even off camara this facial expression that she has just looks a little funny to me. And even with one of the lead characterers the London dude, seems a bit wierd to me as well, I just wanted to know is there something I am missing.
HOLY CRAP!!!! that's amazing!
I'm going Saturday morning i can't WAIT!!!
I was there, and will be there again. LOVED loved loved it! And I love that they're breaking records! GO TEAM TWILIGHT!!!
I loved the movie. It was very true to the book, considering the time constraints of films. Taylor Lautner's acting matures with every film. He does an excellent job in this movie. And for those who don't "get it"-some of us do and some never will. Isn't it great that God makes us all individual???
I am 63 and I was there and have seen in 3 times in 2 days. I understand what everyone is saying about "Bella" but let's face the face Kristen Stewart is just not a very good actress. If you have seen her in other films she is that same one-dimensional morose little person. Further, I agree that Taylor has matured as an actor and I actually started to like him in this film. Nothing but praise can be said for Rob because his performance is always flawless as it was in Remember Me. Unfortunately, we are stuck with Ms. Stewart and can only hope someone gives her some major coaching between now and Breaking Dawn. Just goes to show you that although your parents are in the "business" doesn't always mean you are going to be a good actor. My kiddos to the rest of the cast.
I was at the 12:20 show. We got there at 9 and they let us in the theater rather than stand in the
isle. the midnight and 12:10 show were sold out the day the tickets went on sale online. I was lucky to get tickets to the 12:20 show. Lets just say I am entertained by the story line. I read the books. I am 60. and yea I prefer the "wolf" to the vampire. but the acting of these young stars is very good. Bella's loof attitude. Hey, I have a 16 yr old daughter. Bella is "acting" just how she's suppose to act. Edward is acting like a typical normal jealous male. Vampire or Wolf, the story line in Eclipse is the love triangle. Personally I thought they look a little "old" makeup-wise. Liked the makeup in New Moon better.
Let's wait for Breaking Dawn.
I was there for the midnight showing. My theater also showed Twilight and New Moon starting at 7:00 so I watched all 3 movies. It was great. Can't wait till November 2011.
