Larry KingAfter 25 years on television, Larry King Live will be put to rest.

"Announcing tonight: I'm ending my nightly show this fall but continuing at CNN," King tweeted last night.

He said he wants to spend more time with his wife and at his kids' little league games.

King recently made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest running show with the same host in the same time slot.

"With this chapter closing I'm looking forward to the future and what my next chapter will bring, but for now it's time to hang up my nightly suspenders," he stated on his blog.

From his first interview with Mario Cuomo to more recent memorable ones with Chris Brown and Lady Gaga, King has probed and prodded through almost 50,000 interviews.

But Larry himself isn't going anywhere. He said he will still be working with CNN, hosting national and international specials.

Of course, then the question becomes: Who will replace Larry King? If anyone?

King says if he has it his way, Ryan Seacrest would step into his suspenders.

Which, actually, I don't think is a bad thought. I rather like Ryan and could see him doing a good job and keeping things interesting.

Are you sad to see Larry King Live end? Who do you think should replace him?
