With recent news that daytime drama As the World Turns has been cancelled after 53 years, the 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards was an emotional night for its cast who received several awards.

Maura West, who won Lead Actress in a Drama Series, brought her adorable, crying daughter, Katherine, up on stage with her to receive the award.

It makes me sob every time I watch it!

Then there was Michael Park, who was equally moved by his award for Best Actor. It was his first Emmy.

"We had to say goodbye to over 60 members of our family on Wednesday," said Park. "It was heartbreaking, and I pray you never have to endure what we endured on Wednesday .... I can't think of a better way to say goodbye to a 13-year run on a 53-year-old show than this right here. Thank you so much."

The Bold and the Beautiful won Best Drama -- the second year in a row it has taken home that title.

When it came to children's programming, it was Curious George for Outstanding Children's Animated Series and The Electric Company for Outstanding Children's Series. "Hey you guys!" ... still hits a home run after all these years.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show won Best Entertainment Talk Show, while the Today Show won best morning show.

The complete list of awards is extensive and packed full of shows you may want to set your DVR to record.

Did you watch the Daytime Emmy Awards? Is there anyone you think that should have won that didn't?
