We're in Portland, Oregon for a long weekend and family reunion and the one thing everyone has said to me (other than, Portland rules!) is the food scene is amazing and we should eat as much as we can before heading home.

I have Urbanspoon bookmarked on my laptop since it's a fantastic resource for local eats, and now they have an iPhone app so I can take it with me on the run.

This is also one of those fun shaky apps, where you treat it like a Magic 8 ball and it gives you a surprise. Once you click on, it finds your location via GPS, then offers up restaurant suggestions. If you don't like what you see, you shake it again.

The other feature I love is once you see a restaurant that catches your eye, it tells you how many people have reviewed it and what percentage liked the dining hall. Of course, you can also connect to other reviews online via your iPhone to see what the rest of the world thinks of your restaurant choice.

This app is also free, so you can justify this extra vacation helper.
