After committing a national security breach by busting in uninvited to a state dinner at the White House and breaking the law, Michaele Salahi will be the latest rabble rouser to star on The Real Housewives of D.C.
Which begs the question, is Bravo irresponsible when casting these housewives?
While most of The Real Housewives of New York City can be diagnosed with some mental illness or other, Kelly Bensimon seems to have a serious problem with reality -- to the point of it being sad and scary.
Danielle Staub of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is also clearly mentally ill, yet she's being given a platform that seems to hurt rather than help her fragile state of mind.
If Salahi was willing to put our national security at risk just to get media attention, I wonder if she won't be the most outrageous housewife yet. Which is, I'm sure, what Bravo is counting on; as I know I'll be tuning in to see if the couple ever pays for causing someone to lose their job in their attempt at self-promotion.
But what I'd much rather see is these women getting the help they so obviously need. I'll still watch even if Danielle, Kelly, and now Salahi are sent away to an institution or simply pulled off the air for their own good. I swear.
Do you think Bravo is rewarding bad behavior by the Real Housewives?
