Have you seen Lady Gaga's ‘Alejandro' music video?
If not, you can check it out here, but before you do, check who else is around. It's far from appropriate for little eyes ... or maybe anyone's eyes depending on your stance.
Wow, a little steamy, no?
Lady Gaga describes the nearly nine-minute video as a "celebration and an admiration of gay love -- it confesses my envy of the courage and bravery they require to be together."
There are scantily clad bodies, S&M, sexual simulations, blood, and death. There are also some clearly religious references being made. I'm not sure exactly what she means to portray when she eats the rosary, but I can take some pretty good guesses.
It's easy to forget it's Lady Gaga you're watching instead of Madonna as the similarities between the singers are abundant. Not surprising since the video's director, Steve Klein, has worked with Madonna over the years. The gun bra toward the end being a very interesting twist on Madonna's cone bra to say the least.
I love the song, and I secretly want my husband to change his name to Alejandro just so I can keep repeating the sexy name. As for the video, I think it's beautifully choreographed and certainly makes some statements (many of which I think go right over my head), but I definitely wouldn't want it playing anywhere my children could potentially see it.
And the ending, well that just freaked me out.
What do you think of the ‘Alejandro' video?
