The much celebrated 2010 World Cup in South Africa starts tomorrow!
Not a soccer fan yet? You might be soon, since the US has added more star power to its bid for the 2018 or 2022 World Cups, putting actor Brad Pitt on the committee trying to bring back soccer's premier event to the states. In the meantime, sexy singer Shakira is getting the world ready for this World Cup with her hot new video for "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" -- the official 2010 World Cup Song:
It's not clear if Brad is attending the World Cup, but keep your eyes out -- chances are some of your favorite celebrities are going to turn up:
Alicia Keys and Black Eyed Peas are performing this afternoon at a concert in South Africa that will officially kick off this year's World Cup. Shakira, John Legend, and Angelique Kidjo will also appear at the event.
Becks and Posh: Soccer superstar David Beckham won't be playing due to injury, but he's already arrived in South Africa and glamorous Victoria can't be far behind.
Naomi Campbell was in Paris, France recently to unveil the Louis Vuitton case designed to carry the World Cup to South Africa for this year's tournament. Maybe she will turn up to watch a match or two and look fabulous.
Woody Harrelson and Mike Myers both recently played in the UNICEF soccer match for charity. (Woody even scored the winning goal!)
Will you be tuning in to watch the World Cup?
