Producer Says ’Jersey Shore’ is “Like a Herpes Nest”

Photo from mtv.comBeyond all the bar fights, producers for Jersey Shore say they have another fight on their hands -- battling the STDs that run rampant on the show.

Medication is handed out "like M&Ms" to cast members, the show's creator said in a roundtable interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

'Hey kids, it's time for Valtrex!' It's like a herpes nest," SallyAnn Salsano said. "They're all in there mixing it up."

All I have to say is: Ewwww ... and I hope they burn that hot tub when the show ends.

Celebrity Rehab also has its share of STD problems. In the same roundtable discussion, Dr. Drew Pinsky says everyone on the set is required to take Valtrex.

Herpes? Umm... 80% of sexually active people have herpes. I know nothing of these shows but herpes is rather common all around the world. It's been around since... Well, the Greeks used to deal with it, lol, way back in the day. So, I don't think these people are any different in that way. If these shows are all about sex and such then I don't find it a suprise to know that. I just hope they stop being whores before they catch something worse than herpes. : (

Don't upset by Herpes. 1 in 4 get STD in USA. Most of people on ==== " http://www.STDmatching.com " ===== said it is just a minor virus. And they can deal with it during their se life. I am curious to know the details.

i'm sorry but HOW CAN YOU NOT GET UPSET BY HERPES? if people HAD worried about these kinds of things MAYBE SO MANY DAMN PEOPLE WOULDN'T HAVE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. jeez how can you be okay with the fact that you have herpes? if i had herpes i'd be disgusted every day. i mean i wouldn't like kill myself or stop living my life i just wouldn't completely ignore it and end up infecting someone else because i was too careless about it.
