Kristen Stewart of Twilight fame says she made an "enormous mistake" when she compared being pursued by relentless reporters to being raped.

She made the comparison in an interview with Elle. "The photos are so...I feel like I'm looking at someone being raped...A lot of the time I can't handle it."

A poor choice of words, for sure, but it sounds like she's really sorry.

"I really made an enormous mistake -- clearly and obviously. And I'm really sorry about my choice of words," Stewart told People.

"'Violated' definitely would have been a better way of expressing the thought," she added. "People thinking that I'm insensitive about this subject rips my guts out. I made a big mistake."

The Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN) originally spoke out about Stewart's remarks, but has accepted her apology and says it looks forward to working with her again. Ironically, Stewart was previously a spokesperson for the group.

What do you think of Kristen Stewart's apology?
