And only Betty White remains.
Rue McClanahan -- or as you may know her Blanche Devereaux, the saucy Southern lady on the hit show, The Golden Girls -- passed away at 1 a.m. this morning from a stroke. McClanahan was at New York Presbyterian Hospital, surrounded by family.
McClanahan joins fellow cast mates, Bea Arthur (Dorothy) and Estelle Getty (Sophia) who passed last year and in 2008, respectively.
I loved that sexy dame. She gave all the ladies an excuse to use potty language and showed that sex wasn't something you gave up even when your hip went out.
We'll miss you Blanche!
I'm just glad Betty White had her SNL moment to shine this year.

thank you for being a friend, rue.
Loved this show. She was so sassy on it. I think watching some Golden Girls reruns are in order. Wonder if they're on Netflix....

You will be missed dearly! RIP
Rest in peace, Rue. You showed us what a sassy Southern Belle with a charm and wit should be and that will be missed greatly. You were a talented actress and will forever remain one of the true Golden Girls of our time.
Wow! Sorry to hear that. I really enjoyed watching her exude that sexy southern style to the hilt, as Blanche on The GG! You will be missed. She sure was a fine actress no matter what she played on.
RIP~ You were the epitome of a Golden Girl
I loved that show and still love in reruns.."Blanche" really made you think it is okay to age and have a
sex life in the Golden Years..She will be sadly missed
