Danielle Staub Real Housewives of NJ
Photo from bravotv.comDanielle Staub is either taking a page from the Spencer Pratt book of publicity and acting as crazy and abrasive as possible to get attention, or she just may be a "sociopath" as Dina dubbed her during this week's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

The episode centered around a fundraiser for a sick a little girl, Emanuela. Danielle was asked to attend the event, which was to be held at the Brownstone -- where Dina's husband and Caroline's son work.

Staub declared war at once, enlisting protection from a group of ex-cons to escort her. 

The night of the event, she's clearly looking for a fight, which she makes abundantly clear when after greeting Christopher, she says to the camera that it was a "Psychological F-U." "I'm walking into your home, your business. It felt good."

Staub's moneyed friend Kim "G" (who happens to be the mother of Christopher's good friend) just eggs her on all the way, basking in the drama.

When ex-con bodyguard Danny shows up with more than 10 men in Hell's Angels garb, Staub immediately demands the packed event accommodate the gang of invited guests.

 "We have room for all my people?" she questions/threatens.

Of course they don't have room for your "people".  Your people didn't RSVP; they didn't pay; they were uninvited guests!

But she immediately takes it as a plot against her, and even though the event organizers go to great lengths to accommodate her guests, she ungratefully sticks up her nose at the location of the new table.

Danny starts getting loud.

"How much they gonna disrespect us before we gotta f*** wreck the joint?" he asks.

Emanuela's family sits by looking shocked and humiliated.

Finally, Danielle storms out with her crew behind her. "I just want to leave with dignity," she says, oblivious to the fact that she left it behind long, long ago.  

She also says (with a straight face): "I have a good grasp on reality," which made me spit out my water.

I don't know enough to know if Staub qualifies as a clinical sociopath (Jacqueline has also used this term to describe her) or if she's a "psycho bitch" as Teresa calls her. I do know that her behavior on tonight's episode was beyond rude, completely aggressive and disruptive to an event that should have been about a sick little girl.

I really hope that when one signs on to be a Real Housewife in any locale, the gig comes with really good mental health benefits. I can think of more than one housewife that could certainly use some help in that department.
