When I ride the train, I see dozens of Blackberrys, many more dozens of iPhones, assorted numbers of other smartphones ... but I've only seen one iPad. Basing the device's popularity on this assumption alone, I'd say few people really want or need them.
But Apple tells me different ... the company says it's sold over 2 million iPads in 60 days since the tablet went on sale in April.
That surpasses the launch of the iPhone.
Still, I don't know anyone who has one. Isn't that strange?
The iPad just started selling in Australia Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom on Friday, and will go on sale in even more countries starting in July. I guess that whole Flash issue wasn't that big a deal after all.
According to a press release from the company, there are now over 5,000 new apps for 1.5 pound tablet.
Do you have an iPad, or do you know anyone who has one? Do they like it?
