Photo from bravotv.comThis week's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey insulted me as a viewer. I mean, there's no way in the world these women in REAL life would have any reason or any desire to keep Danielle Staub in their lives.
There should be no dilemma. There should be no "Zen Jen," the energist, helping Dina deal with Danielle. Why don't they just (drop) kick Danielle to the curb and be done with her once and for all?
Danielle (from what I can gather) is shallow, selfish, and vindictive if I'm being nice; a narcissistic nut job if I'm a little cranky. Case in point from this week's episode: She calls Jacqueline to tell her off and accuses her of not being able to "celebrate my children with me." Except, hello, even after knowing Jacqueline struggled through years of infertility and now has a beautiful baby boy, Danielle has never once acknowledged him, much less celebrated him.
Why put any energy into a woman like this ... or "ho bag," as Teresa likes to refer to her? It's not even like she throws fabulous parties they don't want to be excluded from. I'm sure there are plenty of other New Jersey women they could befriend.
Danielle must have some redeeming qualities, I guess, because she has raised two stunning girls including Christine, who walked in New York Fashion Week during this week's episode. She and her sister seem to be nice girls who may even be a little embarrassed by their overwhelming mother, which would also indicate they're fairly intelligent too.
Off course, if the women did what they'd do in REAL life -- walk away from Danielle and never look back -- then where would the drama be?
You can't really do a whole show about Dina's ugly cats, Teresa's crazy-but-cute daughters, Caroline's quotes, and Jacqueline's ... whining.
What did you think of The Real Housewives of New Jersey this week?
