Photo from FOXNews.comSome pretty racy pictures of the new Miss USA contestants are floating around, which wouldn't be all that surprising, but they weren't leaked; they were released OFFICIALLY by the Miss USA pageant officials. On purpose!
When I read this, I honestly didn't believe it; I thought I'd read it wrong. But they did, and they're defending the decision!
A representative for the organization says the sexy shoot was designed to break the "pageant princess" stereotype and project a "hot, yet tasteful" image.
A swimsuit contest is one thing, but these pictures are Playboy-worthy with lingerie, seductive poses, bare flesh, and fishnet stockings.
Um, didn't Carrie Prejean just lose her crown last year after partially nude photos of her were leaked?
YES, she did. They can call it a "contract dispute" all they want, but it's pretty clear that Prejean's racy photos outraged the organization.
I'm not a fan of hers by any means, but talk about hypocrisy!
Seems like pageant organizers saw the publicity swell from Prejean's pictures and said, "Hey, screw the mission of this contest, this may be good for ratings."
I quote from the official Miss USA website:
"These women are savvy, goal-oriented, and aware ... both as individuals, who compete with hope of advancing their careers, personal and humanitarian goals, and as women who seek to improve the lives of others."
How these photos are going to improve anyone's life, I don't know.
How do you feel about pageant officials releasing racy pictures of the contestants?
