Most Ridiculous "Lost" Endings (Including One From Evangeline Lilly)

Last night on the Late Show With David Letterman, the very beautiful Evangeline Lilly said she knows exactly how the Lost finale will end: Jack is running through the forest and then he falls asleep, and when he wakes up, he says, "I just had the weirdest dream."

Thankfully, Lilly was kidding; and then she added: "The Lost finale holds true to our Lost traditions; it represents the show nicely."

What in the world does that mean?

If the Lost writers finish with a dream sequence, I'm going to be effing pissed; that would really make for a lousy finale. But tons of fans are banking that the show will end this way. Others have concocted some seriously ridiculous endings ... here are a few choice ones I uncovered deep within the blogosphere:

From TVSquad (this is almost as bad as the dream sequence):

Final scene: Jack wakes up on the plane sweating and panicking. At that moment you hear the engines begin to fail and the plane starts to crash. We end the show with the first scene from season 1 of the plane crashing on the beach and the look on Jack's face as he realizes it's all starting over again.

From Smosh:

We finally discover Jack's true purpose and what the island wanted -- it was to lead everyone back to begin a new race of half-horse half-human that will ultimately dominate the globe. Don't worry -- Kate will still be hot as a half-horse. But Hurley will eat all the grass.

From Squidoo:

Jack as the new Jacob ... Claire as the new MIB ... brother and sister pitted against each other, evidenced by Jack asking Claire if she wanted to stay with him. All other survivors on the island die in the island reality and continue on in the parallel ... Sun and Jin connected. Sawyer and Kate connected. Show ends with Claire asking Jack, "Do you know how much I want to kill you?"

From About.com:

The answer to Lost is that none of this actually happens, in the last episode you'll see an eye open, just like in the very first episode (Jack's eye), except this time it will be Vincent's eye and everything that has happened would have actually just been a crazy dream made by Vincent the dog.

From Erol Alkan Forum:

Hurley is the island.

Do you care how Lost ends? Will you be mad if it's a dream sequence?
