Here's all the celeb news you missed this weekend: Glee star Jane Lynch set to wed; Tina Fey revisits her Sarah Palin impersonation on Saturday Night Live -- and we've got the video; and Dixie Carter, dead at 70.
Hey Glee fans! Congratulations are in order for Jane Lynch -- yep, that's ballsy cheer coach Sue Sylvester to you -- who confirmed on Saturday that she and her psychologist girlfriend, Lara Embry, are engaged. The pair have yet to set a date. "We don't have any plans at all yet," she told Us Magazine. "But I have a ring and everything. We're very happy and very excited!" Want more Glee scoop? We've got news about guest stars and Rachel Berry's multiple men.
So long, Ms. Sugarbaker. Designing Women and Broadway vet Dixie Carter, 70, died on Saturday morning of complications from endometrial cancer. The feisty Tennessee-bred actress, who scored an Emmy nod for her 2007 guest gig on Desperate Housewives, is survived by her actor husband Hal Holbrook -- with whom she starred in the 2009 indie That Evening Sun -- and two daughters from a previous marriage.
On Saturday, 30 Rock star Tina Fey visited her old stomping grounds, hosting Saturday Night Live in New York City to promote her new comedy, Date Night. Naturally, she revisited her much-loved Sarah Palin impersonation with an uproarious new sketch that managed to mock the former Alaskan governor and subtly take a jab at Oprah at the same time.
