True Blood VILF Poster Goes Viral

Yup, HBO's hit vampire drama, True Blood, finally returns for its third season June 13.

And yup, as one of the True Blood trailers suggested, waiting sucks.

But in the meantime, we can be entertained by HBO's smart-ass campaign to promote the series.

The latest? A tongue-in-cheek (so to speak) poster that simply super-imposes the acronym "VILF" on a blood red background. A punny play on the classic MILF -- you know, "Mother I'd like to...." (coined in the first American Pie movie) -- the poster is clean, clever and clearly catering to us. Because between dead-sexy bloodsuckers Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), badass Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård), newbie Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) and vampire queen Sophie-Ann (Rachel Evan Wood), we've got plenty of VILFs to choose from.

This poster is the second of 12 -- one will be released each week as we eagerly wait it out for Season Three's June 13 debut. The first, released last week, featured a blood-filled coffee pot and the tagline, "Nothing like a good cup of Joe." Uhm-uhm good!

The campaign also includes revealing a new season three clip each Sunday night during the season two repeats, which should really whet fans' appetites.
