Photo by Ian Gavan/GettyEven someone like Lady Gaga has boy drama, but for her it's in the form of a whopping $30.5 million lawsuit.
Rob Fusari, Gaga's former producer and ex-boyfriend, is suing the star, claiming that he "transformed her into Lady Gaga," gave her the moniker (her real name is Stefani Germanotta), persuaded her to drop rock beats for dance beats, and co-wrote several songs that appeared on her first album, including her hit Paparrazzi.
He says he has been denied a 20 percent share of song royalties, 15 percent of merchandising revenue, and other money he's owed. He acknowledges getting checks for about $611,000 but says that isn't his full share.
According to the Daily News, the lawsuit said:
"All business is personal. When those personal relationships evolve into romantic entanglements, any corresponding business relationship usually follows the same trajectory so that when one crashes they all burn. That is what happened here."
I'm probably being biased here (actually, I know I am) because I am a huge, huge Gaga fan, but I'm sure this stuff happens all the time. People come out of the woodwork when you're famous, claiming they had something to do with it and demanding cash.
Let's say he was denied the money, but they broke up in 2007: If he was cut out of the record deal then, why didn't he address it at the time?
Oh wait, because she wasn't big in 2007!
This is why you should never mix business with pleasure.
Who do you side with? Gaga or the ex?
