Under Great White Northern Lights (The White Stripes)
This 16-track disc accompanies a feature-length documentary that follows the Detroit duo of Jack and Meg White on their 2007 10th anniversary tour of Canada. With live renditions of Stripes singles like "Fell In Love With a Girl," "Icky Thump," and "Seven Nation Army," it's the perfect mood music for rockin' out with the kids old-school style or blowing off steam during a sweaty, heart-thumping run.

The Runaways (Various Artists)
With the hotly anticipated memoir movie starring Twilight Saga ingenues Kristen Stewart (as Joan Jett) and Dakota Fanning (as the more forgotten Cherrie Currie) opening this weekend, the timing is ripe for a Runaways reprisal. This sizzling soundtrack features classic '70s hits from the seminal girl band, including "Hollywood" and "You Drive Me Wild," along with Stewart and Fanning's interpretations of "Cherry Bomb," "Dead End Justice" and "Queens of Noise." Bonus? A sprinkling of '70s hits from the Sex Pistols, David Bowie and Suzie Quattro.
