Welp, it looks like Aunt Becky is not going to catch a break. Outlets are reporting Lori Loughlin is facing new charges for her role in one of the biggest college admissions scandals. Although none of us know what's in store for this former Hallmark star, something tells us Lori might not get 14 days in prison like Felicity Huffman did.

  • To recap, back in March, Lori was indicted in a college bribery scam.

Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, along with a grip of other parents -- including former Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman -- were charged with paying "hefty bribes" to elite colleges (as much as $25 million, collectively) across the country (University of Southern California, Yale, Georgetown, Stanford, and other institutions).

  • She and her husband reportedly paid upward of $500,000 to get their daughters into USC, under the guise of being "recruits" for the crew team.

As a result, Lori and Mossimo were hit with charges of "conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud." And if shelling out half a million to get your kids into school isn't crazy enough (if you're paying that much, maybe they shouldn't go?), reportedly, one of Lori's daughters, Olivia Jade, never filled out her college application ... because she didn't know how.

  • Lori and Mossimo rejected a plea deal that had a minimum of two years behind bars, and now, they're facing up to 40 years in prison.

A month after her initial indictment, Lori was hit with new charges -- including money laundering conspiracy -- after rejecting a plea deal, increasing her maximum prison sentence from 20 to 40 years.

"The second superseding indictment also charges the defendants with conspiring to launder the bribes and other payments in furtherance of the fraud by funneling them through [William 'Rick'] Singer's purported charity and his for-profit corporation, as well as by transferring money into the United States, from outside the United States, for the purpose of promoting the fraud scheme," a statement about the additional charges Lori, Mossimo, and 14 other parents received read, Us Weekly reported.

  • ... that was until the US attorney recently filed federal program bribery charges against Lori and her husband.

Us Weekly reported the Hollywood couple is now facing new bribery charges -- on top of what they've already been hit with.

"The new charges in the third superseding indictment allege that 11 defendants – Gamal Abdelaziz, Diane Blake, Todd Blake, Mossimo Giannulli, Elisabeth Kimmell, Lori Loughlin, William McGlashan, Jr., Marci Palatella, John Wilson, Homayoun Zadeh, and Robert Zangrillo – conspired to commit federal program bribery by bribing employees of the University of Southern California (USC) to facilitate their children’s admission," a press release from US Attorney Andrew E. Lelling shared with Us Weekly explained.

"In exchange for the bribes, employees of the university allegedly designated the defendants' children as athletic recruits -- with little or no regard for their athletic abilities -- or as members of other favored admissions categories."

  • Yeah, we don't know what's going to happen.

Seeing that Lori and Mossimo pleaded not guilty to the charges against them (she reportedly wanted to avoid jail time), we can't help but wonder if the prosecution will throw the book at her for doing so. Allegedly, Lori is fearful prosecution will go after her daughters, so we really have no idea how this will all shake out.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.
