Looks like Xander might be headed to the slammer. Actor Nicholas Brendon is facing jail time, as the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star has been charged with felony domestic violence that's beyond troubling for more than one reason. If convicted, the once '90s heartthrob could face up to four years behind bars, and that's no joking matter.

  • Nicholas was arrested back in 2017 for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

The incident reportedly took place at a Palm Springs hotel, The Hollywood Reporter notes, but sadly that's not his first run-in with the law. The outlet also mentions Brendon got in trouble with the law in the past "on suspicion of vandalism, grand theft[,] and criminal mischief."

A criminal complaint provided to The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday shows Nicholas is being charged with "one felony count of corporal injury to a spouse." This news comes after the Riverside County District Attorney's office revealed Monday the actor is being charged with felony domestic violence.

  • If convicted, Nicholas Brendon is looking at up to four years in prison.

    But wait, there's more ...

TMZ reports the district attorney's office filed a court document with the judge as attorneys are revving up to show evidence of "alleged past acts of [domestic violence]." As the outlet notes, prosecutors have made it crystal clear "they're coming for Brendon even if the alleged victim isn't available at trial."

  • What in the actual eff ...

This isn't the first time we're hearing about a celeb possibly doing time ... but for domestic violence??
