Teen Boy Allegedly Murdered Girlfriend's Parents After They Discovered His Racist Beliefs
On the morning of Friday, December 22, 43-year-old Buckley Kuhn-Fricker and her husband, 48-year-old Scott Fricker were shot dead in their home. Official reports have identified the shooter as their daughter's 17-year-old boyfriend who shot himself after attacking the parents. Officials believe he acted in retaliation against the mother and father because they were pressuring their daughter to break up with him after discovering his racist beliefs.
The Virginia couple's 16-year-old daughter had been dating the unnamed boy since June and the parents became increasingly more concerned about the negative influence he was having on her. The Star Tribune reports that Kuhn-Fricker had begun pressuring her daughter to break up with the boy after discovering disturbing social media pages she believed linked back to him.

According to the Washington Post, the pages contained a bevy of anti-semitic, racist, and homophobic content. All of which the mom sent in an email to an administrator at the teenagers' high school just days before her death. “I would feel a little bad reporting him if his online access was to basically be a normal teen, but he is a monster, and I have no pity for people like that,” Kuhn-Fricker wrote in her email. “He made these choices. He is spreading hate.”
The Washington Post reports that Kuhn-Fricker was incredibly passionate about civil rights and had no tolerance for anyone preaching hate. Janet Kuhn, Kuhn-Fricker's mother, shared with WJLA that her daughter told her that she and her husband believed the boy was attempting to indoctrinate the girl with neo-nazi beliefs.
This drove Kuhn-Fricker to spend a week pushing her daughter to break up with the boy. On Thursday, December 21, the mother reportedly texted a friend, claiming that the "outspoken neo-nazi" was officially out of the family's lives.
The 16-year-old had reportedly broken things off with her boyfriend at the behest of her parents. But when they went to check on her in the early hours of Friday morning, they discovered the boy in their daughter's bedroom.
Janet Kuhn told the Washington Post that detectives with the local police station shared that Scott Fricker confronted the boy, ordering him to leave the home. It was then that the boyfriend pulled out a gun and shot both parents before turning and firing the gun on himself in the head.
While the mother and father were both pronounced dead at the scene, the boy survived and was immediately transported to the hospital in "life-threatening condition". An official police statement also shared that four other family members were in the home at the time, but remained unharmed.
Reem Awad, a police spokeswoman, told Star Tribune that the teenager has been charged with two counts of murder. She also shared that the department will not release his name as the boy is still a minor.

Fairfax County police have not yet provided an official motive for the killings. The Washing Post reports that friends and family suspect it had everything to do with the couple's insistence on keeping hate out of their home and away from their daughter.
