It's been six years since Casey Anthony was officially acquitted after being charged for the death and disappearance of her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Anthony. Since then, the woman has been lying relatively low, but some recent news involving a possible reality show and her furious parents has her name parked firmly back in the limelight.

In April of 2017, In Touch revealed that Casey Anthony was in talks to star in a reality show alongside O.J. Simpson. The show was said to be centered around the fact that both Anthony and Simpson had been acquitted of murdering their loved ones and would examine their lives after their highly publicized trials. With Simpson recently released from prison, there's plenty of new speculation surrounding the show, and Anthony's parents, Cindy and George, say they have no intention of allowing their daughter to move forward with the plans.

"Oh god, if it came down to that, I would [sue]," Cindy said in an upcoming episode of Crime Watch Daily with Chris Hansen. The couple even implied they would move forward with a lawsuit if their daughter sold her story for a profit at all, reality show or not.

Cindy adds that she believes Casey is "mentally ill" and refuses to take responsibility for her actions. She even thinks it's possible that Casey suffered a seizure and "forgot" what happened to Caylee. "She doesn't remember when she has seizures, you know, unless she's bit her tongue or something," she said.

Casey Anthony has been estranged from her parents since her acquittal. In this most recent interview, George Anthony says that he has no intention of repairing his fractured relationship with his daughter. "Stay away. Stay away from me. If she wants a relationship again with her mom, she's got a lot of explaining to do, but I don't want to hear it no more. I don't want to see her," the Orlando Sentinel reports his saying during the episode.

George also claims that he has seen little Caylee inside the family's home. "I've seen her in the flesh," he told Chris Hansen. "One time, she woke me up in the morning just tapping on [my head] with her little finger like she used to."

In March 2017, Casey Anthony gave her first interview since her trial. She revealed to the Associated Press that she has been living in South Florida with one of the private investigators on her defense team. In her interview, she said, "I don't give a s--- about what anyone thinks about me, I never will. I'm OK with myself, I sleep pretty good at night."

If Casey Anthony ever does decide to move forward with selling her story, it sounds like she'll have an uphill battle in getting the idea past her parents. When Chris Hansen asked Casey's parents if they had a message they would like to send to their daughter, Cindy said only this: "Casey, be true to yourself, start being honest with yourself, and own everything. Quit putting blame on everybody else."
