100 Women Taken Advantage of While 'Sleeping'

One man is being accused of raping at least 100 women after luring them into a fake "sleep study," giving them sleeping pills, and then raping them.

Hideyuki Noguchi, 54, of Japan, was arrested after a woman who participated in what she thought was a "sleep study" saw herself being raped in a video. Police say that Noguchi put an ad in local papers looking for women from their teens to their 40s to be monitored while they slept for a study. He would then allegedly drug the women, rape them, videotape it, and sell the rape videos to porn sites.

He reportedly made around $100,000.

If this man is guilty, he's got to be one of the most prolific serial rapists of all time. It's absolutely horrific that these women trusted this man enough to be around him while asleep -- and then have that trust completely violated.

It's a good reminder not to ever agree to take any kind of drug with a stranger, even if he's telling you he's a doctor, unless you are in a hospital or reputable clinic (the man would take them to hotel rooms). Sure, you can say the women were perhaps naive, but Japan has a much lower crime rate than the US, and it probably never occurred to these women in a million years that something like this could happen.

Ugh, and you really have to wonder about people who like to watch "rape porn." Actually, you don't have to wonder about them. They are disgusting perverts with no consciences.

Since Japan has a 99 percent conviction rate, chances are this guy will be behind bars for a very long time.
