Couple Terrorized in Home Invasion Robbery Wants To Do Unthinkable to Suspects

A couple in Bunker Hill Village, Texas, has offered to do something truly unthinkable for the two burglars who robbed them in their own home at gunpoint, and we can't decide if they're crazy generous or just plain crazy.

The two robbers wore black ski masks and gloves as the forced their way into the home after an unsuspecting housekeeper opened the door, believing it to be a delivery. Homeowner Arielle said, "When she opened the door, they pulled a gun on her and they locked her in the bathroom. They spoke to her in Spanish."

Arielle and then her husband had the misfortune of arriving home in the middle of the robbery. The homeowner, who did not want her last name used, said, "When my husband showed up, they pulled a gun on him and told him he had to open the safe."

The pair made off with a bunch of cash, jewelry, and guns, but Arielle was just glad none of them were hurt. She said she was "grateful that my children were unharmed and my husband were unharmed." After the robbers finished the job, they tied them up, and took the husband's and housekeeper's cellphones before leaving.

Police have released composite sketches of the suspects, and a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to their arrest.

But the couple has decided to do something totally out of the box in hopes of not only catching the perps, but maybe even changing their lives. They've offered to pay for their college educations if they turn themselves in.

"My husband and I believe firmly in education and education changed our life," Arielle said. "We would like to offer that to them .. there is a chance to make a better life for themselves." She added, "People have the ability to do anything with their lives."

That is an amazing gift to offer to people who robbed you and terrorized you in your home, but it speaks to how strongly they feel about the power of education. It will be interesting to see if they turn themselves over.

What do you think of this couple's generous offer?
