Gutsy Mom Drives Son Straight to Jail After Alleged Sexual Assault

If you're a mom, you're used to shuttling your kids from one place to another. School, dance lessons, soccer practice ... um, jail. Well, you kind of hope you won't have to do that last one, but hey, if you're a really good mom, you do! And that's what the mother of 19-year-old Elijah Jordan Jackson did when she drove from Texas to Wyoming to pick up her son, who was wanted for sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, and drove him ... straight to the clink.

Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith told KHOU:

When the deputy spoke with the suspect's mother and she found out about the charges, she vowed to take care of it.

And take care of it she did, driving all the way to another state to get her accused son. The sheriff says this really helped out the cops. He also says in the 25 years he's been doing this job, he's never seen a mom do this kind of thing.

For his part, Jackson denied his mom brought him to jail and makes the rather preposterous claim that he drove himself there -- the sheriff dismisses his story and says that if a guy is sitting there talking in jail, the last thing he wants to admit is that his mommy drove him in.

You've got to give this mom some kudos. While most moms would be hiding their precious son, even if he was accused of sexual assault, this one wants him to face the consequences of his alleged actions.

Sounds like she brought him up right, so too bad it seems to have gone all wrong. Only so much you can do, right, moms?

Would you have done what this mom did?
