Stephen Collins Molestation Scandal Escalates With More Horrific Revelations

Stephen CollinsMore details are coming out about the horrific confessions that actor Stephen Collins made in 2012 during a therapy session with his wife, Faye Grant. During the session, Stephen admitted to molesting at least three girls, as young as 11. One of them was related to his first wife. Faye has released a statement saying that she is not responsible for the leaking of the tape, that she had turned it over to law enforcement two years ago. More disturbing allegations are surfacing.

TMZ reports that Grant once wrote an email to Collins, famous for playing the pastor father on 7th Heaven, referencing an incident where Collins supposedly said that he wanted to give oral sex to their baby, if it were a boy.

According to TMZ, after Grant, who is divorcing Collins, learned of his admitted proclivities towards young girls, she wrote him an email saying:

The comment you made just before I gave birth to our daughter when you said you hoped we didn't have a little boy, because 'you just didn't know if you could keep his little penis out of your mouth' was indication enough that you were sick ...

I should have followed my gut then, and then again 14 years ago, and kicked your ass to the curb.

However, a source "close to Collins" says he never said this and Faye never sent him an email like this. It's a very strange and disturbing allegation, that is for sure.

Meanwhile, one woman who reported her alleged molestation to police says that Collins would wander into her bedroom when she was 11 years old when she was staying with Collins and his then-wife, and expose himself to her. She also claims that several times he put her hand on his penis (he admits to this with her or another girl in the tape) and that he would rub her (unclear where). Collins would have been around 30 years old at the time. (He is now 67.)

Grant says she first learned about these allegations in January 2012. Four months later, she filed for divorce.

She says she also reported Collins to police in both Los Angeles and New York. There is reportedly an open investigation in New York City. It's unclear with which victim or if the investigation was sparked because of the victim's report or Grant's.

In divorce court documents, Grant says at one point she was contacted by a victim's husband (unclear if it is the same victim who filed a police report), who threatened to sue her for keeping information about Collins to herself. It's unclear exactly when Grant reported her husband to police, but I imagine that must have been an agonizing decision to make, considering she'd been married to him for 27 years and he was only admitting to things that had happened decades before.

Collins is finally speaking up -- but not about the allegations. Rather, he (through his lawyer) is shifting all blame to Grant, saying she has threatened for years to peddle the tape to the media unless Collins coughed up more money than she was legally owed.

Collins' lawyer says:

When these demands were rebuffed, Faye attempted -- without success -- to peddle the tape in numerous ways to numerous different people.  It appears that she has finally found an audience for this tape.

He also says that Collins isn't permitted to discuss the tape at this time (likely because of the open investigation).

There's a lot of confusing stuff flying back and forth here, and probably much more that hasn't made it into the press. What people need to keep in mind, however, is that a woman has claimed Collins abused her when she was a girl, and Collins is heard on tape admitting to abusing a girl.

Rarely do we get to hear anyone admit such an act -- and hear it on tape. So what Faye Grant did or didn't do or when she did it isn't relevant. Her heartbreak and shock on the leaked tape is evident.

What is relevant is what appears to have happened to this woman when she was young and trusting.

Meanwhile, Collins did NOT commit suicide last night, as rumor had it. Reruns of 7th Heaven have been pulled from TV and Collins was reportedly fired from Ted 2.

Thoughts? Here is part of the leaked tape. Be warned, it is explicit:
