Dad Walks In on Man Molesting His Child & Does What Any Parent Would

A father who reportedly walked in on his 11-year-old son being molested did what most fathers would do -- beat the alleged molester to a bloody pulp. The 35-year-old dad called 911 and said, "I just walked in on a grown man molesting [name not used]. And I got him in a bloody puddle for you right now, officer."

Raymond Frolander, 18, was unconscious and indeed in a bloody puddle when officers arrived at the home in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Frolander's mug shot shows him so bruised and swollen that he's barely recognizable from what he looked like before he met up with the angry dad's fist -- and his foot, as he tells the dispatcher.

The father reportedly entered his house around 1 a.m. and heard strange noises coming from his child's bedroom. He entered and allegedly found the suspect with his pants down, performing a sex act on the 11-year-old. He sprang into action and beat the suspect, reportedly a family friend, until he passed out.

Normally, I am against vigilante justice. Vigilantes can often be misguided and downright wrong. I think about the vigilantes who beat an old man to near-death for hitting a child with his car, when videotape caught the child stepping out into the street so quickly that the car wouldn't have been able to stop -- and then the man did the right thing and stopped to help, only to be attacked.

In this case, it seems hard to believe the dad could have mistaken anything -- two men in a room, one a little boy, one an adult, one performing a sex act -- well, it would be difficult to misconstrue what's happening. Still, all it takes is one hard blow to the face to kill a man, and if he had, the dad could be in prison and the kid would have no father.

That didn't happen -- but it easily could have. The dad was aware that he couldn't go that far, saying, "I did whatever I got a right to do except I didn't kill him ... damn lucky boy that I love my God."

But the dad is lucky too. This could have turned ugly for him.

Still, one can't blame him for reacting this way. And no charges have been filed against him.

Here's the dad's 911 call:

What would you have done?
